Woodworking has always been a part of my life. Having a journeyman carpenter for a Father, I grew up on construction sites, learning many important skills at a young age. As I grew so did my love for art: from drawing, painting, woodworking, woodburning, to carving. My work today is a culmination of my life’s experience. Being able to create and express myself through the skills I have developed over the years is my passion. Making an idea come to life is my love.
Art is my religion, not just a practice but a way of life. A deep appreciation and reflection of my surroundings. In my attempt to turn, thoughts, ideas, sights, or feelings into something physical I find a place of meditation. Through these moments of divine concentration I find a deeper connection to myself, and in turn, to all that surrounds me.
